Reference — every signage line

Materials & Lighting Tech

The same letterform reads completely differently depending on how the light is delivered and what it's made from. Explained once, here, so every line can link to it instead of repeating it.

Lighting systems

Four ways to deliver light — not mutually exclusive.

A project can combine, say, Side Glow on 3D letters with Halo Architecture behind the mounting panel. Flag on the brief which effect you're picturing — if you're not sure, describe the setting (facade at night, retail interior, roadside) and we'll recommend one.

Halo Architecture

Halo Architecture

Rear-mounted backlighting that makes the building readable from behind the sign, not just the letters themselves. Gives a facade structural presence after dark rather than just a lit logo on a dark wall. Best for buildings where the architecture itself should read at night — HQs, hotels, landmark retail.

Line Precision

Line Precision

A controlled light-line system for luminous letters: tight, even edge definition with directional control over where the light falls. Where Halo Architecture lights the building, Line Precision lights the letterform itself with a crisp, consistent edge — the difference between a clean corporate wordmark and a fuzzy glow.

Adaptive System

Adaptive System

Dual-function lighting that holds visibility and aesthetic impact across day and night conditions, rather than being tuned for one or the other. Relevant wherever a sign has to work in direct sun and in the dark without looking washed out at either end.

Side Glow

Side Glow

Lateral illumination that lights letter geometry from the sides rather than the front, revealing depth and form instead of just a flat lit face. Suits dimensional letters and logos where the point is to show the letter has real depth, not just that it's lit.

Materials & finishes

What it's made from decides how it ages.

Stainless steel

Corporate letters, facades

Clean, polished or brushed — the default premium finish.

Corten steel

Industrial-register signage

Raw, ages into a rust-toned patina over time.

Titanium

Flagship / premium projects

High-end, durable, distinct sheen.

Bronze

Cast plaques, memorials

Traditional, institutional, ages with a patina.

Brass

Outdoor plaques, heritage branding

Warm tone, weather-resistant.

Acrylic

LED neon, lightboxes, luminous letters

Lightweight, wide colour range, diffuses LED evenly.
